Profound Growth Opportunity

Many years ago, I had a thriving profession in the restaurant and hospitality industry. It was my passion; but no matter how much I loved the job, you literally can only work so many hours in a day. At the time one of my mentors asked me some very profound questions that would help me change the course of my professional life.

He told me to take a look at what I was doing and determine what the highest possible level of achievement would be. Did I aspire to this? If so how long would it take? Did I want to spend the next ten years of my life trying to get there?

That was my first introduction into direct selling, and it just makes sense. The linear income exchange of time for money is finite and extremely limiting. When I talk about direct selling, I’m not talking about chasing dollars or fancy cars (that has never appealed to me), but that as someone who did love their job, there was no way I wanted to be doing that job in my sixties.

That was almost 20 years ago and since then my focus has been in the nutraceutical sector. I met Eddie Stone way back when I was just starting out, and he was—and continues to be—someone with whom my personal values resonate. There are just some people in life with which you have an instant and lasting connection and Eddie is one of those people.

We’ve worked together over the years and he has always been the guy scrutinizing the details, examining the nutraceutical industry as a whole and working toward creating a business that’s based on truth. Touchstone Essentials is a natural progression of what Eddie has always strived for, and when he called me up to share his pioneering effort in founding a company with supplements harvested from real food, I knew instantly I wanted to be a part of it.

Having graduated from the Culinary Institute of America, my mantra has always been food first, supplements second. What I really like about our supplements is that because they are actually whole foods, you get all the health benefits of real food, and can even take them on an empty stomach, which is something I’ve never been able to do before now.

The great thing is that more and more people are becoming conscious of what they put in their bodies, and they’re also a lot more discerning about who they trust. Our products and philosophy are completely transparent and very easy to share, since doing so is doing something good for humanity. And making a living by doing the right thing and helping people is the ultimate treasure.

I can’t keep it to myself and talking about it is the most natural extension of what I already do. It’s kind of like the idea of once you know something for sure you can’t really “un-know” it, and once you know what you’ve been putting in your body and what you could be doing instead, the choice becomes clear.

After reading the information comparing whole food and synthetic supplements, it is easy to see how the nutritional industry has been flat out getting it wrong. Touchstone Essentials is at the forefront of a shift from chemical-based supplements to food-based supplements. It’s like being a part of Microsoft or Apple right in the beginning, and for those involved, the growth implications are profound.
